Here are three of the four members of the Milby quartet, The Pastels ~ some 49 years later: Sonny Jones, Wally Sisk, and Joe Simmons. Charlie Smith was not present for this photo. (see next photo)

Here are some of the members who made up the group in the late 50's and early 60's. The guys are: Charlie Smith, far left; Wally Sisk, front; Joe Simmons, back; and Sonny Jones, far right.

From looking at the pages from the Carats and Kaleidoscope programs on the blog, I see that group membership changed several times from performance to performance.

Glenda Burns Minniece sent these photos from the Heads 'N Tails Bar and Grill. She wrote the following:

Saturday night, June 27th, John and I drove to Kemah to see Sonny Jones and the band, American Boogie, perform. Sonny's brother is the drummer.

Jerry Brown (class of '58) had reserved a long table for Milby friends at Heads N Tails. Joe Simmons (class of '59), Marrinel Roberts (class of '61), Rita Beeler, Wally Sisk, and I (all three class of '60) attended to represent Milby. Lots of other non-Milbyites were at the table, too, (including John) as well as a good crowd in general, inside and out.

John loved the band and is already looking at their website, www.AmericanBoogie.com to find future gigs so we can see them again.
