I have 3 grown sons - Rodney (wife Beverly Allison also), Justin, and Brady and 6 grandkids. Kyle, Jeremy, Hannah, Abigail, Rodney Jr. and Kendra. I also have three best friends, Gizzy, Zeke, and Oreo. Nope, not boyfriends, my 2 shih-tsh (dumbest, sweetest dogs on the planet) and a Snauzer. So that's about it for my update...
However, on Beverly’s website we learn much more about her…
“Beverly Allison is the Founder and President of Chamber Music Unlimited, and holds a Masters of Music degree from Rice University, where she also served as a graduate assistant. She has studied with world-renowned teachers such as Bryon Hester, William Kincaid, Albert Tipton, Clement Barone and Louis Moyse. This summer, she was one of just 15 students from all over the world invited to participate in Louis Moyse's latest major work, an adaptation of Rossini's opera, The Barber of Seville in Montpelier, Vermont.
She has performed all over Europe in groups and as a soloist, including playing five seasons in Israel with the ICEJ orchestra. Beverly's Flute Troup won the prestigious National Flute Association's Chamber Music Competition. Currently, Beverly is the principal flutist with the Galveston Symphony and plays with the Festive Trio, Liberty Quartet, Celestial Trio and the Amadeus Woodwind Quintet.”
Addition - on July 12 Beverly wrote in a comment on the Milby blog: "I am leaving Monday to go to Montpelier,Vermont to do a performance with and make documentary of my 95yr old teacher (Louis Moyse, can look up on website, pretty famous ole dude)...."

I remember playing The Barber of Seville for the spring band contest under Mr. Seastrand. My how time repeats itself! Sounds like you have had a very interesting and exciting last 50 years! Carolyn Smith Pfennig (clarinet)

Mr. Seastrand and I used to play a game before school in the band room. He would play a few notes of a song on the piano and I would try to guess what it was. I also remember how nice he was to me when I made a "1" in solo contest in my senior year.

Hey Karla, if Mr. Seastrand is
still alive, maybe we should invite him to our reunion since so many have such fond memories of him.

Hello Beverly,
We were so glad to be able to attend your Amadeus Woodwind Quintet concert. The music was so wonderful. It is so obvious that you, and the rest of the quintet, play so beautiful. We really enjoyed it.
It was also so nice getting to see some of my Milby friends.

Beverly,
I enjoyed reading your bio and am not surprised by all of your musical successes. Congratulations! Looking back to the Milby years, we were fortunate to share time and experiences with some very talented musicians and I certainly regard you as having been among the top on the list. I recall that, for lack of an oboist, we were't able to form a woodwind quintet. Finding an oboist was an elusive goal. But I fondly remember getting together with you, John Hammerle, and Dale Carnagey to blaze through a lot of wind quintet literature sans oboe. It was great fun.

I had lunch with Beverly last Saturday (12/11/10) What a delightful lady she is! She invited me to go to her home and see her little fur babies. They are her kids now. Sounds familiar to me, smile. Beverly showed me her beautiful new golden flute. What a beauty!
As I was leaving to head home Beverly gave me one of the CDs she has recorded to enjoy. It is a Christmas CD and the name of it is "A Taste of Christmas". Beautiful Christmas music with Beverly playing all through the CD! She is so talented!
Hopefully, we will see each other when her schedule permits. We really had a great visit and lunch.
