Last year on the blog we had “Valentine Love Stories” in February. Click here to read those stories - they're great!!! And there are a lot of new comments down at the bottom - all about kissing and drive-ins, etc. Now here’s a new thought . . . how about a collection of endearing traits or little acts of love and kindness that your loved ones do for you? For example, early every Saturday morning Ed goes out to Panera Bakery to get me a fresh cinnamon chip scone to accompany my leisurely Saturday morning cup of coffee. He always gets two so I will have a treat on Sunday morning too. I am not a morning person and I LOVE to sleep in on Saturday, so for him to get up and go out . . . that’s a true act of loving kindness in my book! I know from our correspondence about the blog that Billie (Jean) Trombatore Young gives her man a massage every night before bedtime . . . I’m just saying – that’s SWEET! Glenda Burns Minniece sent this sweet exchange between herself and her husband John: "When I met John I was wearing a copper MIA/POW bracelet. His first words to me were, "You got arthritis?" :) That tickled me. Later, before he told me he loved me, I knew he did because he said, 'I'm so comfortable with you.' That may not seem very romantic, but it made me like him." What can you tell us about the love of your life? Maybe your honey would like to submit a comment of his/her own about you. I know you don’t want to toot your own horn, but that way maybe we’ll hear something “sweet” about YOU! Just read this blog post aloud to your dear one and muse, “Here’s what you do for me. . . what would you say I do for YOU?” (Something that’s appropriate to release into cyberspace, that is!)... Submissions to this post do not have to be about a spouse. There are many others (including our four legged pals) who fill our lives with love and joy. I know some of our number are single and we certainly don’t want anyone to feel excluded from offering a comment or story. You can either make your contribution as a comment to this post, or you can send me your comments, and I will add them for you. Photos are ALWAYS a welcome enhancement to any story and they can be sent to me by attachment to an e-mail or by regular mail.

You may wonder why Ed gets up early on Saturday morning to go out and get my scones. [see post above] Why doesn't he get them Friday afternoon or evening so he can sleep late on Saturday morning too? Well, it's because they sell out of those delicious scones early in the day.
Unfortunately, on this Valentine's Day there were evidently a lot of other hubbies (or wives) who wanted to please their lover and when he got there this morning there was only one scone left. Not to worry - I love their delicious bear claws too!
And I love having this ongoing conversation with all of you here on the blog!!! Happy Valentine's Day ALL!!!
Now how about some comments here on this new post? What sweet thing does YOUR sweet thing do for you . . . today or every day! Karla

Well, not to toot my own horn -- oh well, why not-- I enclosed a note in Hilda's Valentine this morning telling her she could pick out a piece of jewelry in her favortie catalogue and it would be hers. I can do no wrong today!!

It didn't take me long to do something wrong -- I misspelled favorite!
[I could fix it, but where's the humor in THAT!?!?!? KD]
