I am a retired United Methodist minister currently serving as senior consultant with Four Seasons Ministry, a private organization equipping church leaders for more effective ministry through workshops, retreats, consultation, and coaching.
I am married to Tara deButts and have a son, Scott, who lives near us with his wife and daughter, Madi. Tara is a mental health and substance abuse counselor in private practice in Harrisonburg, VA.
In my lifetime to date I have served churches as a director of Christian education having received a Master's Degree in Christian Education, a pastor having received a Master of Divinity Degree, a street gang social worker, and National Director of the Industrial and Commercial Ministries, a national volunteer chaplaincy placement agency.
My sister Kristina lives in Houston; my brother Kenneth lives in San Antonio; and my brother Curtis lives in California. I have lived in Houston, Jacksonville, TX; Beaumont, TX; Monroe, LA; Nashville, TN; and a number of places in Virginia. Currently Tara and I live on a small farm in Mount Solon, VA in the Shenandoah Valley.
In my volunteer work I have been active in Big Brothers/Big Sisters, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for children), a volunteer police chaplain, Rebuilding Together (improving homes for the aged); and United Way.
I love baseball (especially the Astros), play golf poorly, garden fairly, play cards passionately, and read as an excuse to fall asleep.
Glen added the following information later in a comment:
My wife, Tara, and I love to travel and she is a big animal rights activist so we went to Tanzania and Kenya in 2004 for two weeks of photography safaris. We found Tanzania absolutely fascinating in a depressing and hopeful way and Kenya a beautiful country but mostly we fell in love with the countryside and the animals. Next year we are heading for Johannesburg, South Africa to volunteer at a Tiger Refuge for two weeks.

Glen, It was interesting to read your bio on the Milby blog. It reminded me that we went to Senior Prom together. My husband and I have also spent our lives in ministry, he as a minister and seminary professor and I as a Christian Educator. I hope you will be at the reunion. It would be fun to talk.
