Earlier, through a comment on the blog, Jo Ann offered this biographical information:
We travel most of the time but will check the blog when in town.
We still go to Garner every summer and our granddaughter enjoys it as much as we did. My husband Martin proposed to me there on the Frio in the dark ages. I got a terrible sunburn. We've upgraded to an RV and a quiet campground but still enjoy the dances and the scenery.
Look forward to seeing everyone at the 50th. I still keep in close contact with Gladys Bohac and Sue LeNoir. They havent changed a bit. In fact, they celebrated my birthday with a surprize party last weekend. 65 doesn't seem old at all now.
More recently, Jo Ann gave us more details on her life:
The last 48 years I have been blessed with a great husband, kids that grew up to become independent adults and I still get along with all my family members. In short, I have really led a very blessed life.
Martin and I enjoy traveling and go very often. We make a run to the casinos about once or twice a month. This year we will be traveling with l5 other RVers to Big Bend in April, staying in condos in Wisconsin and Michigan in July and August and the East Coast and Canada in the fall, with lots of other little trips in between. We will be spending February 27 through March 3 at Lake Medina.
I still keep in touch with my precious friends Sue LeNoir and Gladys Bohac. We keep the emails going. Those are the only people that I have kept in touch with since high school. It is amazing to me how a lot of ex Milbyers still communicate.
Martin and I keep a large circle of friends and since he loves to go anywhere and do anything we stay pretty busy. Our daughter got her MBA in August and our son in law finished his degree in December. They are 4l and 45 respectfully. I am very proud of them because I never got a degree because I was too lazy to go back and finish. I was lucky because real estate brokers dont really need a degree to be successful.
Well, I've bored you all enough for now. At least this will take up a little space in the blog. Hope you have a loving Valentine’s Days. Mart and I and another couple are going to celebrate at the Winstar in Oklahoma. Never been there and have heard mixed reviews, but I know we'll have a good time.
From the Valentine's Love Stories Post, we learn this about Jo Ann and Martin:
I was only l2 years old when I met Martin. I was dating a boy named Mickey Newbury who became a very famous song writer. He went to school with Martin at Sam Houston. One of their mutual friends, Jerry Crawford, took a video of Sandy Payne and me coming out of Deady. Jerry showed the video to Martin and some of his friends. Martin called to see if I wanted to go to MYF at the Methodist Church. I immediately called my cousin Bill Shaw, who went to school with Martin, and he gave me a glowing report. We went on a blind date and then dated off and on for the next 7 years. We got married 3 weeks after my l9th birthday.
The first time he came to our house, my parents both told me that they thought he would be my future husband. I laughed, but he was so good looking and nice. He also had a nice, Christian family and my family was sort of screwed up at the time and I wanted some stability. Martin is the nicest, kindest person I have ever met. We have been married 46½ years and he has yet to say a negative thing about anybody. Of course, we have some arguments from time to time, but he usually just says" you're right dear "and that ends it.

I agree with Gladys. It was such fun seeing you and Martin. You have a lovely home and are gracious hosts. I hope we will be able to visit again before time gets away from us. Love ya.
