My name is Melissa Gray Sepulveda Grant - just a few of my names over the past 50 years.
I was a newcomer to Milby in January of 1959. My only living parent, my father, died when I was 15 years old and I moved from Amarillo, Texas (my home, left my friends of 10 years) to live with my Aunt in Houston, Texas. I have cousins, Virginia Burrer and Vic Burrer, who were students at Milby during my 2 years of high school. Thanks to them I began making friends.
My Senior year I was in Mr. Hand’s homeroom. I was conservative, and thanks to friends like Carolyn, Delores, Frankie, Nancy, Linda, Frances, and of course some of the guy friends, they helped make it easier to be the newcomer. Sorry Ray that you did not make it to my Graduation party, maybe you can come to my PHD. graduation.
I moved on to Sam Houston State University and received my Education Degree and later my Master. I was married 27 years and lived in Cypress, Texas and had 3 children .They are all married. Mark is 46, Carolyn White is 45, and Don is 38. I now have 4 grandchildren: Austin, 16 years, Ali, 11 years, Carson, 9 years, and Sam, 3years. I married John Grant 14 years ago and we are now retired and enjoying retirement with family, friends, and travel. We have traveled in USA and Mexico, London, Paris and Switzerland.
I had fun at the Milby girls luncheon in March, 2010. We plan to attend the reunion in April.
PS. I hope someone can visit with my husband John. He loves Auburn football, likes retro music, can talk politics, war stories, and car talk. That way I can go off and visit friends and not leave him to talk to himself.

Hi Melissa, it was great seeing and visiting with you at the luncheon that Jody and Glenda arranged for us. It was a great time talking about old times and waiting for the BIG 50 Reunion. We will have to introduce our hubbys so we can visit with others also. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
